'They Grow Up Fast' to Premiere on Samaritan Ministries' Website

PEORIA, Ill., Aug. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- A health care sharing ministry with a heart for Christian families and the father of one of those families—and makes movies—have teamed up to remind you that "They Grow Up Fast" and not to waste the time you have.

Director Darren Doane's latest movie, "They Grow Up Fast", will premiere on Samaritan Ministries' website at samaritanministries.org/theygrowupfast and be available for a limited time starting September 7 for free online viewing.

SMI is the film's chief sponsor.
The film is a video compendium of Doane's four children—Alexandra ("Xan"), 10; Emmy, 9; Zoe, 6; and Knox, 5—being born and growing up over the past 10 years. He shot the footage originally as a way to informally chronicle the growth of his family. When friend and author N.D. Wilson saw an edited version, he wrote narration for it, and Doane realized he had something special. The result is a "home movie" that encourages parents to value the time they have with their children.

Ted Pittenger, Founder and International President of Samaritan Ministries, has experienced the truths that "They Grow Up Fast" communicates.

"Four of our six children are married and establishing their own households now, so my wife and I understand the value of time with them when they are young, and the importance of instilling Christian faith and values in them," Pittenger says.

The movie also emphasizes the Doane family's focus on Christ, the need to be centered around the Savior, and raising children to love and fear the Lord.

Doane is the director of such films as "Saving Christmas," "Unstoppable," "Collision," and "The Free Speech Apocalypse," as well as hundreds of music videos and commercials.
"We appreciate what Darren Doane has done to bring films of quality and solid Biblical theology to the Body of Christ," says Ray King, Samaritan's Vice President of Communications. "We are excited to be partnering with him."

King says that "They Grow Up Fast" is particularly well-suited to be released to the public online through Samaritan, especially since Doane is a member.
"At Samaritan, we believe that God's foundation for the economy and everything, including health care, is the Christian household, with Christian parents raising their children to be God-fearing citizens, and not to trust in government and other human institutions, but in God," King says. ""They Grow Up Fast" is a powerful encouragement for Christian families to grow in Christ."
