A God Thing

Help spread the word:

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."1

According to Jim Green, Executive Director of The JESUS Film Project, "A Jesus film team was driving to a film showing site in a Muslim nation, a remote region that has hardly been touched by the Good News. It was a restricted area, with many hazards for those who would dare to openly share their faith. As the team drove along, they prayed that God would go before them and open doors of opportunity and give them safety.

"Just before they arrived at the village, a policeman flagged down their car. It seemed that an Islamic teacher needed a ride. The officer made the introductions and asked if they could help. Feeling it was an acceptable and necessary risk, they agreed and offered a ride, and continued towards town.

"You can imagine the anxiety the team must have felt when this highly respected teacher asked, 'Tell me, are you the ones planning to tell people about God?'

"Entrusting themselves to the Lord, they responded, 'Yes, we are.' Apprehension turned to astonishment as they listened to what this teacher said next. Bouncing along the dusty road, the teacher told the team how he had experienced a unique dream.

"'I was told to come to this spot in the road, at this time, and that I would encounter someone who would tell me about God. It must be you.'

"They gave him some literature that JESUS film teams carry in the local language, and invited him to come the showing of JESUS that night. He not only came but also helped distribute literature to the people!"2

It is my personal conviction that if an individual sincerely seeks God and his truth, God will reveal himself to him/her in whatever way or through whomever he chooses.

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, thank you that whenever I or anyone sincerely seeks you with all their heart, they will find you. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen."

The Healing Power of Confession

The Healing Power of Confession

"Therefore confess your sins [and faults] to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed."1

In response to the Daily Encounter, "Do You Want to Be Healed?" where we shared the importance of the need and biblical injunction to confess our sins to a safe and trusted friend, one subscriber responded saying, "Thank you for this message. However, I have a question, what if among the people I fellowship with, there is no one with whom I feel safe to confess my sins. My pastor said that if I confess my sins to someone, and tomorrow, he hears someone talking or gossiping about what I confessed, I can only blame myself for telling it to someone. So where can I find a trustworthy person who will not break my confidence?"

I replied to this lady saying, "Yes, I agree that it is difficult to find a trusted, safe friend, to whom we can confess our sins and faults. This is such a tragedy as the Bible teaches us that this is a vital part of healing. And, unfortunately, I have never in my entire life ever heard a pastor or a 'faith healer' ever teach on the importance of confession of sins as a vital part of healing. My suggestion is, if this is possible, if you can't find a safe, trusted friend, it is worth paying a well-trained professional counselor to whom you can safely confess your sins and faults."

I don't think this is true in the Catholic Church. If confession of sin/s to a priest is done with the right motive, besides being a biblical injunction, besides resolving guilt which, unresolved, can make people literally ill, it is a very healthy and a vital part of healing and recovery. It is tragic when we as Christians don't feel safe to confess our sins to church leaders and fellow church members.

If a counselor is needed for a trusted person to confess to, and if you live in the U.S. or Canada, you could call the Narramore Christian Foundation for the name of a Christian counselor in your area. Call 1-800-477-5893 and press "1" for Dianne and she should be able to help most callers.

If you don't live in North American, it can help to write a letter to God and confess all your sins and faults and feelings in writing (David did this in the Psalms) … then read the letter out loud in a prayer to God, and then tear up the letter so no one else will ever see it and hold it against you.

Also pray and ask God to help you find a safe and trusted friend to whom you can safely share all your failures, struggles, and sins.

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, first, please help me to be a safe and trusted friend with whom fellow strugglers feel safe to confess their failures, struggles, and sins to. And when I need someone to whom I can confess my failures and sins please help me to find a safe and trusted person so I can be freed from guilt and be healed of any unresolved sin and/or super-charged repressed negative emotions that are seriously affecting my physical, emotional, and/or my spiritual health. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus name, amen."

1. James 5:16 (NIV).

The Miraculous Escape from Autocrash

My brothers and sisters,

It may interest you to note that today, 21-05-12 marks it a month if not for ur prayers and intervention by God; I would have lost my beloved wife and five beautiful kids in a ghastly motor accident involving my jeep and a trailer on 21st Dec, 2011. Today marks d five month that I would hv bn a widower but God said no. To Him who protects His people I owe all the thanks!

Watching the video and pixs of this fateful incident makes me wonder what is so special about me that made God to love me that much and allow such a miracle to come my way!

Imagine a mere Jeep encountering a trailer (DAF) and the bodies of the driver and conductor of the trailer was picked up in pieces while my wife and five of our kids were preserved and unhurt! Have u ever seen such a miracle before? Na wao o! This God is something else o!

Pls as good friend and brother, help me to continue to thank this God as I am confused on how to go about it.

Thanks and have a great week ahead.

Are You Possessed By the Spirit of the Dog?

Are You Possessed By the Spirit of the Dog?

Many people in Nigeria and the rest of the world are possessed by the Spirit of the Dog, but since majority of them are ignorant of the existence they don’t even know that they are exhibiting the characteristics in their lifestyles and may continue living in the bondage of the Spirit of the Dog till their last days on earth.

Dog eat dog is a common saying which is in fact true, but people have not seen it spiritually and so have not been delivered from the Spirit of the Dog, so dog eat dog has become the most prevalent way of life on earth with majority of humanity behaving and living like dogs even though they claim not be animals, but have we seen much difference between most humans and animals? In fact, there is more balance of nature in the jungle than in the city! It is not common to see cattle attacking and killing themselves or other animals of the same species attacking themselves as humans attack their fellow humans every day in recurrent human conflicts of crimes and wars. In fact, from Adam and Eve to date, we have seen worse violence among humans than among animals! So, where is the human civilization?
What makes humans more civilized than animals?
Our higher IQs and sense of worthiness?
Our belief systems and pursuit of our origins?
The societies we have built over the centuries?
The so called wonders of the world?
Gigantic buildings like the Tower of Babel?
Spacecrafts launching and probing into the heavens?
Academic, technical and professional institutions producing aristocrats and technocrats of either meritocracy or plutocracy of democracy?
Because we make and put on clothes, build and live in houses and make and drive vehicles?
But as the saying goes, the hood does not make the monk.
What makes us civilized are not the perishable possessions and lifestyles we have, but the appreciation of the values and virtues of human dignity, integrity and nobility.

Mystery in Nigeria: Dogs With Human Body Found In Badagry!

In Nigeria where there are more churches than even schools and millions of Nigerians are regular church goers, majority of those who claim to be Christians are possessed by the Spirit of the Dog and their so called pastors, reverend ministers, bishops and prophets do not have the gift of discernment to see through them even when their behaviour shows it all. But many of the Christian ministers themselves are possessed by the Spirit of the Dog! That is why majority of them don’t even preach to warn their congregants. Therefore, both church and congregants remain in the bondage of the Spirit of the Dog.

King David of Israel who was a real and true anointed man of God knew about the existence of the Spirit of the Dog and prayed against it in Psalm 22 when he prayed for deliverance from the power of the dog. So, that is enough proof of the spiritual danger of the Spirit of the Dog.

Examine yourself thoroughly and if you notice the characteristics of dog eat dog attitude in your life, then you are possessed by the Spirit of the Dog and the only way to be freed from the bondage is repentance and deliverance, because your total reformation and transformation can only be achieved by edification. Then, you shall be freed from the evil Spirit of the Dog that is still roaming and prowling for more preys. In most cases it goes about as a friendly dog wagging its tail playfully, but beware of the wolf in sheep clothing.

From God To God

They say life is a journey
In a world that is a battlefield
Where we live in fear of the unknown
And the mystery of God leaves me speechless.
As we face the daily realities of life
The ups and downs of our journey never end
And there is nothing we can do but face the truth
For nothing, but the truth can set us free.

Chorus (in Latin):
O Deus caelum et terram
Veniam ad te in toto mole
Quoniam tu solus salva animam meam
.

I did not create myself
And I did not create the world
I did not ask to be born
So, my life is not my own choice but yours
Therefore, Oh, God! Do with me as you wish
For you know best what to do with me
For I am useless without your spirit
All I ask for is make my life shine for your glory.

Chorus (in Latin):
O Deus caelum et terram
Veniam ad te in toto mole
Quoniam tu solus salva animam meam.

Question: What the Bible Says About... Astrology

Question: What the Bible Says About... Astrology

Try to name a newspaper or secular magazine today that doesn't contain some sort of horoscope. The world has diluted astrology so much that many Christians forget that it is actually has its roots in an occult practice of fortune telling. While some people look to the stars to get advice, the scripture may make some Christians think twice about relying on the practice.

Answer:
Is Astrology Occult or Entertainment?

Is Astrology Occult or Entertainment?

Astrology began as a form of fortune telling, which the Bible considers an occult, and at times, a useless practice. Astrology is based upon the use of stars and planets to “read into” a person’s past, present, and future. For many astrologists it is a belief that the position of certain celestial entities have an impact on our lives. For other astrologists there is a belief that there are gods in those celestial bodies that impact our lives. The Bible does warn against worshipping other Gods, though few Christians support the idea that the stars and planets are actually representations of other Gods.

However, the Bible does state that occult practices are wrong, and that we should not seek out fortune tellers, mediums, and practitioners of occult practices. While most of the predictions we see in the paper are fairly benign guesses, there is still concern among some Christian groups about astrology. The main concern is when Christians look to astrology for advice over God. If Christians look to astrology first then they are taking their eyes and trust away from God. Yet most Christians only glance at a horoscope to laugh at the generalized predictions, feeling no need to delve further into occult practices or divining the future.

Exodus 20:3 – “Do not worship any other gods besides me.” (NLT)

2 Kings 21:6 – “Manasseh even sacrificed his own son in the fire. He practices sorcery and divination, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.” (NLT)

Deuteronomy 4:19 – “And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. (NIV)
Do Stars Offer Advice?

The Bible states that the stars, along with the sun and moon, were created to give light to the Earth. God is the one who gives Christians advice. However, the stars can be quite useful, as in the case of the wise men needing to find the baby Jesus, in providing location. In this case, God used the star to light the way.

The Bible is actually quite critical of astrologers, asserting that they cannot save people as God can. In Isaiah, the Bible points to this issue when God proclaims that Doom will come to Babylon and there is nothing the astrologists can do to save the people from it. However, in today’s era of generalized horoscopes, most Christians do not use astrology as a way to predict major events.

Genesis 1:16-17 – “God made two great lights, the sun and the moon, to shine down upon the earth. He also made the stars. God sent these lights in the heavens to light the earth.” (NLT)

Isaiah 47:13 – “All the counsel you have received has only worn you out! Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. Here are no coals to warm anyone; here is no fire to sit by.” (NIV)

Good Friday: Lest We Forget Why He Was Crucified

It is only in repentance will you experience total deliverance.
Not in eye service or lip service.

For the abundance of His infinite grace is for only those who will neither lie nor live in denial of the truth.

1 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered:

“Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them–do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Luke 13:1-5 (NIV).

The Passion of The Christ

Psalm 22
Psalm 22[a]
For the director of music. To the tune of “The Doe of the Morning.” A psalm of David.

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
2 My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest.[b]

3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the one Israel praises.[c]
4 In you our ancestors put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.
5 To you they cried out and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 “He trusts in the LORD,” they say,
“let the LORD rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him.”

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 From birth I was cast on you;
from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

11 Do not be far from me,
for trouble is near
and there is no one to help.

12 Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Roaring lions that tear their prey
open their mouths wide against me.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted within me.
15 My mouth[d] is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.

16 Dogs surround me,
a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce[e] my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots for my garment.

19 But you, LORD, do not be far from me.
You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Deliver me from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

22 I will declare your name to my people;
in the assembly I will praise you.
23 You who fear the LORD, praise him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 For he has not despised or scorned
the suffering of the afflicted one;
he has not hidden his face from him
but has listened to his cry for help.

25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you[f] I will fulfill my vows.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied;
those who seek the LORD will praise him—
may your hearts live forever!

27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.

29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;
all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim his righteousness,
declaring to a people yet unborn:
He has done it!

Jesus Would Have Shared Coffee with the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Says Author of New Book, Woman Meets Jesus

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- "Lisbeth Salander, the troubled female in the Oscar-winning film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is exactly the kind of woman that Jesus would invite for coffee," says Ruth Vander Zee, author of the new book Woman Meets Jesus (Edenridge Press). "Salander," says Vander Zee, "may not fit in at most churches but is the type of exploited woman that Jesus would befriend in the face of social and religious criticism."

Salander, played by Rooney Mara, is a gifted, but deeply troubled young woman with bleached eyebrows, a black Mohawk, tattoos, leather-and-chain dress, combat boots, and atypical body piercings.

"Jesus was a radical rabbi who reached out to females who didn't fit in with the religious and social communities," says Vander Zee. "He didn't care what the religious elites - the Sadducees and Pharisees - thought about women."

Vander Zee, who spent years studying Jesus' often-overlooked interactions with women, concludes in her new book that Jesus challenged the religious establishment's oppressive view of women and befriended and advocated for females like Salander. "Jesus stood up for exploited, rejected, isolated, desperate, and self-destructive women," says Vander Zee.

Vander Zee grew up in the church, learned the popular Bible stories, and eventually married a pastor. But later she chose to look at the second-class status women often occupied within the walls of the church. She decided to dig deeper into Jesus' personal encounters with women. What she discovered changed her view of women and Jesus.

In order to show how radical Jesus really was, Vander Zee retells the stories of Jesus' encounters with biblical women from their own, first-person perspectives. One woman is the prostitute who visited Jesus at Simon the leper's house and offended the respected guests by lavishing perfume upon Jesus. Another is the ostracized woman at the well who had multiple husbands. Yet another is the untouchable woman who hemorrhaged for 12 years.

"The whole idea that Jesus was anti-women is a modern myth," says Vander Zee. "I can imagine Jesus sitting in a Stockholm cafe with Salander, tearfully listening to her life story and encouraging her to follow the way of the prophet Micah to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with her new-found advocate, Jesus."

Ruth Vander Zee is the award-winning author of social-issue-oriented children's books, including Erika's Story, Mississippi Morning, Eli Remembers, and Always With You. A self-described late bloomer, she earned her college degree when she was 40, wrote her first book when she was 55, speaks to church and women's groups across North America, and writes the popular blog journey-of-faith.com. She lives in Miami, Florida.

Pray the Devil Back to Hell

"The film is inspiring, uplifting and is a call to action for all of us"
-Desmond Tutu, Winner 1984 Nobel Peace Prize.

Pray the Devil Back to Hell is the astonishing story of the Liberian women who took on the warlords and regime of dictator Charles Taylor in the midst of a brutal civil war, and won a once unimaginable peace for their shattered country in 2003. As the rebel noose tightened around the capital city of Monrovia, thousands of women – ordinary mothers, grandmothers, aunts and daughters, both Christian and Muslim – formed a thin but unshakeable line between the opposing forces. Armed only with white T-shirts and the courage of their convictions, they literally faced down the killers who had turned Liberia into hell on earth. In one memorable scene, the women barricaded the site of stalled peace talks in Ghana and refused to move until a deal was done. Their demonstrations culminated in Taylor’s exile and the rise of Africa’s first female head of state, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Inspiring and uplifting, Pray the Devil Back to Hell is a compelling example of how grassroots activism can alter the history of nations.

Who Owns Christmas? Jesus Christ or Santa Claus?

Illustration of Jesus and Santa. Photo Credit: Jason Berggren.

Who owns Christmas? Jesus Christ or Santa Claus?
This is the thought-;provoking subject of David Frum's article on the Huffington Post: Santa vs. Jesus and it is one of the most engaging articles on the debate of how the "religion" of Santa Claus is misappropriating the religion of Christianity for which Christmas is being celebrated in commemoration of the birth of the founder Jesus Christ our Lord and Messiah.

This is really How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Of course How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is an allegory of how Santa Claus has stolen the birthday of Jesus Christ written by Dr. Seuss on the commercialization of Christmas and satirizes those who profit from exploiting the holiday.

As we speak, Santa Claus has just left the North Pole for his Christmas Eve journey around the world, his reindeer-powered sleigh loaded with gifts for boys and girls. ...

As much we should appreciate the goodwill and love in the sharing and exchange of Christmas gifts and greetings, we must stop the abuse and misuse of the Christian festival by greedy capitalists and legions of hypocrites whose idolatry is the antithesis of the charity of Jesus Christ.

"O Holy Night" by David Phelps and A Touching Christmas Story

Oh Holy Night

O Holy Night!
The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees!
Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night ,
O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night, O night divine!

A Touching Christmas Story

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."1

"The Doll and a White Rose" by V.A. Bailey

I hurried into the local department store to grab some last minute Christmas gifts. I looked at all the people and grumbled to myself. I would be in here forever and I just had so much to do. Christmas was beginning to become such a drag. I kind of wished that I could just sleep through Christmas. But I hurried the best I could through all the people to the toy department. Once again I mumbled to myself at the prices of all these toys, and wondered if the grandchildren would even play with them.

I found myself in the doll aisle. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a little boy about 5 holding a lovely doll. He kept touching her hair and he held her so gently. I couldn't seem to help myself. I just kept looking over at the little boy and wondered who the doll was for.

I watched him turn to a woman and he called his aunt by name and said, "Are you sure I don't have enough money." She replied a bit impatiently, "You know that you don't have enough money for it. The aunt told the little boy not to go anywhere because she had to go get some other things and would be back in a few minutes. And then she left the aisle.

The boy continued to hold the doll. After a bit I asked the boy who the doll was for. He said, "It is the doll my sister wanted so badly for Christmas. She just knew that Santa would bring it." I told him that maybe Santa was going to bring it. He said "No, Santa can't go where my sister is, I have to give the doll to my Momma to take to her."

I asked him where his sister was. He looked at me with the saddest eyes and said, "She has gone to be with Jesus. My Daddy says that Momma is going to have to go be with her."

My heart nearly stopped beating. Then the boy looked at me again and said, "I told my Daddy to tell Momma not to go yet. I told him to tell her to wait till I got back from the store." Then he asked me if I wanted to see his picture. I told him I would love to. He pulled out some pictures he'd had taken at the front of the store. He said, "I want my Momma to take this with her so she doesn't ever forget me. I love my Momma so very much and I wish she did not have to leave me. But Daddy says she will need to be with my sister."

I saw that the little boy had lowered his head and had grown so very quiet. While he was not looking, I reached into my purse and pulled out a hand-full of bills. I asked the little boy, "Shall we count that money one more time?"

He grew excited and said, "Yes, I just know it has to be enough" So I slipped my money in with his and we began to count it. And of course it was plenty for the doll. He softly said, "Thank you Jesus for giving me enough money."

Then the boy said, "I just asked Jesus to give me enough money to buy this doll so Momma can take it with her to give to my sister. And he heard my prayer. I wanted to ask him for enough to buy my Momma a white rose, but I didn't ask him, but he gave me enough to buy the doll and a rose for my Momma. She loves white roses so very, very much."

In a few minutes the aunt came back and I wheeled my cart away. I couldn't keep from thinking about the little boy as I finished my shopping in a totally different spirit than when I had started. And I kept remembering a story I had seen in the newspaper several days earlier about a drunk driver hitting a car and killing a little girl and the mother was in serious condition. The family was deciding on removal of the life support. Now surely this little boy did not belong with that story.

Two days later I read in the paper where the family had disconnected the life support and the young woman had died. I couldn't forget the little boy and just kept wondering if the two were somehow connected. Later that day, I couldn't help myself and I went out and bought some white roses and took them to the funeral home where the young woman was. And there she was holding a lovely white rose, the beautiful doll, and the picture of the little boy in the store.

I left there in tears, my life changed forever. The love that little boy had for his little sister and his mother was overwhelming. In a split second a drunk driver had ripped the life of that little boy to pieces.2

Please don't drink and drive this holiday season nor throughout the coming year.

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, please help me to always be sensitive to the needs of others around me and, where needed, help me to reach and be as Jesus to them as the lady in today's lesson reached out to the heart-broken little boy. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen."

Changing Faces: Will a Born-Again Christian Commit Adultery?

The born-again Christian couple Franca (Alex Lopez) and Dale (Marc Baylis) in bed in a scene from Changing Faces.

Changing Faces: Will a Born-Again Christian Commit Adultery?

That is the question no married Christian can deny, because no one can deny the temptations to have sex outside the matrimonial home. Extramarital affairs are the realities married couples cannot ignore, whether they are born again Christians or not. And the answer is in Faruk Lasaki’s romantic drama Changing Faces opening at the Silverbird Cinemas, Genesis Deluxe Cinemas and other cinemas in Nigeria, Ghana and other countries from December 16, 2011.

This born-again Christian husband did not only commit adultery with another woman outside his matrimonial home, but he returned to also have sex with their house girl whilst his wife was sleeping until she woke up in the middle of the night to catch him rocking their house girl like a dog!

Changing Faces has been highly commended as one of the new movies raising the standards in Nollywood and the movie has opened doors for Nollywood at the Cannes Film Festival in France, Cairo International Film Festival in Egypt, African Diaspora Film Festival in New York, USA, Écrans Noirs Film Festival in Yaoundé, Cameroun, Zuma Film Festival in Abuja and Eko International Film Festival in Lagos, Nigeria.

Faruk Lasaki is one of the best graduates of the New York Film Academy (NYFA), which also brought out the best in Chineze Anyaene whose IJÉ the Journey broke the local box office record in Nigeria; including Kunle Afolayan who has won multiple awards for his Araromire: Figurine, with five awards at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for the Best Picture, Best Actor and others and Stephanie Okereke whose movie Through the Glass lifted her higher in Nollywood as an actress and emerging filmmaker.

Changing Faces has an international cast of gifted Nigerian and British actors and actresses like Marc Baylis rated as the hottest actor in a Nigerian movie by the authoritative Nigeria Films.Com.

“Marc’s thrilling role as the young white Architecture whiz kid Dale married to a Nigerian woman showed him as a better actor than Van Vicker and Majid Michel and stood him in class of his own as a world class romantic actor,” Nigeria Films reported.

“He is charming, can wait to see the movie. A powerful story line,” said one of those who read the exclusive report.

Marc is Dale the born again “Oyinbo” husband of Franca, a black Nigerian woman acted by the pretty and sexy Nigerian-Brazilian actress and Nollywood diva Alex Lopez seemed to be very faithful until he met Lola another sexy black woman at an Architectural conference in a beautiful hill top hotel. Where the seductress tempted and lured the married man into her bed on the last night of the conference and his life was never the same again. Black and beautiful British actress Rachael Young was the temptress Lola in Changing Faces. Other popular Nollywood stars in the movie are Keppy Ekpenyong who was the boss of Dale, Ayo Mogaji-Dabo and Femi Brainard.

Fires of Faith: 400th Year Anniversary of King James Bible

On Oct. 16, Fires of Faith: The Coming Forth of The King James Bible celebrates 400th year anniversary, capturing book's violent birth and enduring influence through historically accurate reenactments and interviews with leading scholars

PROVO, Utah, Oct. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BYUtv today announced that it will present and air the first U.S. television film series on the making of the King James Bible, coinciding with the 400th anniversary of its translation. Celebrated for its enduring and widespread use, the King James Bible has had immeasurable impact on religion, language, culture, art and literature. Yet the road to its influence and acceptance was paved with the horrors of humanity.

Produced and directed by filmmaker Lee Groberg, and written by screenwriter Mitch Davis, the three-part documentary and dramatic feature tells the vivid stories of international politics, intrigue, subversion, bloodshed, fire and the runaway libido of King Henry VIII that led to its creation. The King James Bible's profound impact on faith is captured through more than 130 reenactments filmed in eight different countries at many of the actual sites where events originally took place. A prestigious host of 18 international scholars and religious leaders, from the Universities of Notre Dame and Oxford to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, reveal differing perspectives while confirming that the King James Bible's influence is like none other, and that the importance of the translation goes well beyond religion itself.

"Few milestones in history have greater influence and significance than the translation of the Bible into English," said Derek Marquis, executive producer of Fires of Faith and Managing Director of BYUtv. "We knew we couldn't let the 400th anniversary of the seminal English Bible pass without telling the story of how the King James version came to be and why it has endured. The director, writer, actors, scholars and religious leaders in our film combined to create an extraordinary chorus that transcends any one religion to truly celebrate the most influential book of all time."

Fires of Faith is rife with factual Early Modern Era drama that fictional Hollywood would struggle to concoct. Those who sought to translate "God's message" into the English vernacular were seen as heretics, persecuted and ultimately executed. At the forefront of the saga is British religious scholar William Tyndale, who was responsible for the original translations that make up more than 80 percent of the King James Bible's text. His death by strangulation and burning at the stake under King Henry VIII didn't stop his translated words from ultimately reaching a global audience and enduring to this day.

"The power of the story transcends ideological and cultural boundaries," said Mr. Groberg. "Without exception, every person who contributed to this film – regardless of their own particular beliefs or background – was inspired to help us turn back the visual clock and authentically convey the events. Being permitted to use the historic locations where the story actually took place, such as a 4th century monastery in Israel, 800 year-old English castles and 500 year-old European churches, drew in the hundreds of scholars, actors, curators and crew members who worked on the production. We focused on even the smallest details, to inspire the cast and enable the viewers to feel as if they're witnessing history.

Fires of Faith chronicles the cast of characters that were central to the Reformation, including John Wycliffe, Martin Luther, King Henry VIII and "Bloody" Queen Mary I, ultimately culminating with King James I, and his commissioned translation of the Bible. The film crisscrosses a tumultuous Europe at the birth of religious freedom during a time that seemed to consistently involve the burning of something or someone. In one corner or another, an entire continent was on fire.

Historians, theologians and actors transport audiences to an era when the Bible in English was an unlawful possession and reading it resulted in imprisonment. Translating it was a death sentence. The only way to buy one was, literally, under the table on the black market, the same way someone might buy illegal drugs today.

The film's historical narrative parallels modern day insights and influences in the third and final hour of the series, highlighting its effect on music as well people's reactions to it today.

"The phrases and rhythms of the King James Bible have worked their way into wider Anglophone sensibilities and consciousness in ways that no other translation of the Bible has achieved, nor will likely ever achieve," said Brad S. Gregory, Professor of Early Modern History, University of Notre Dame, Indiana, during his interview in the film.

"There is nothing that compares to the classical English literary resource as the King James Bible," said David Rosen, Rabbi, Chief Rabbinate of Israel during his interview in the film. "The closest thing, of course, are the works of Shakespeare and we do relish and treasure Shakespeare. But it doesn't speak to our deepest commitments, as obviously, the Bible does."

"The King James Bible has an amazing tenacity," said Alec Ryrie, Professor of the History of Christianity, Durham University, England at the conclusion of the film. "It has hung on in the affection of particular churches and of whole peoples in a way that a 400 year old text really shouldn't. I think the King James translators, themselves, would have been amazed that this 400 year old translation is still being used."

Fires of Faith: The Coming Forth of the King James Bible will premiere Oct. 16th on BYUtv, which is a U.S. and worldwide cable/satellite television channel reaching 60 million households.

You Cannot Be A Christian If You Have Not Met Jesus Christ

The problem of the world of those who live and lie in falsehood in Christendom is the fact that majority of those who claim to be Christians have never met Jesus Christ and you can never be a Christian until you have met Jesus Christ.

What we have in Nigeria and the rest of the world are millions of church goers calling themselves Christians when in reality they are not in truth and in spirit.

You cannot be a Christian and behave like a pagan as most of you do.

You only deceive yourself by making all sorts of excuses for your erroneous and ambiguous practices which expose the truth about you.

We are what we do.
As Jesus Christ said, by their fruits you shall know them.
And not by words of mouth.
Not by how many times you go to church.
Not by how many times you give alms to the beggars and paupers.
Not by the size of your Holy Bible.
Not by how many times you pray, praise or worship HIM.
Not by your hypocritical attempts to be pious.
Not by when you dress to impress others.

The hood does not make the monk.

By your fruits you shall prove who and what you are.

You wonder why Nigeria is in hysteria?
Because of your evils.
What we sow we shall reap.
The fruits of the seeds Nigerians have sown in secret and in public are the harvest of corruption, pollution, poverty, criminality and political instability plaguing Nigeria today.

Majority of the millions posing and posturing as "Christians" are nothing more than Hypocrites at large.

They themselves know they are living in their own conceit and deceit, fooling themselves as they are all engaged in the contests of wits to outsmart themselves in their rat race.

True Christians don't join the rat race when they know their Kingdom Race of true Christianity.

I would rather dine and wine with pagans than fellowship with hypocrites who are pretending to be Christians, but do things that show that they do not even fear God as the pagan fear their idols.

Parents have failed to be good role models for their children as they lie and cheat at home and at work and so their children learn to lie and cheat from their parents and sooner or later join their bandwagon of the morally and intellectually bankrupt and corrupt society.

A society filled by the canker-worms of corruption, made rotten by ill-gotten wealth that only ends in their death and leaving their survivors and victims to continue to face the grave consequences of the wrath of the earth.

The solution is to confess the truth and stop lying and fooling yourselves.
Admit it that you have not met Jesus Christ and say it that you are not Christians.
As Jesus Christ said that if you are neither hot nor cold, he would spit you out!

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth."

~ Revelation 3:16 (King James Version)

How can you meet Jesus Christ?

"Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

~ John 14:6 (New International Version)

Break down and confess all your sins and evils.

Have you done any evil to anyone?
Have you done evil to any family?
Have you done evil to any people?
Have you done evil to any company?
Have you done evil to any organization?
Have you done evil to any nation?

Then you have done evil to God.

If you want to meet with Jesus Christ.
You must stop doing evil in any form or way whatsoever.
Then repent of the evil or evils you have already done, by confessing to God and to the person, family or people, the company, organization or nation and ask for their forgiveness.
Then I promise you that the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ will visit you.

But until you do so, I am sorry, you are just fooling yourselves and wasting your time in your religious buffoonery.

Yesterday was Awesome!

Yes, my people. Happy New Month!

Yesterday was awesome.

Yesterday was an awesome day as our Almighty Father JEHOVAH GOD confirmed that He hears, listens and answers prayers.

I received the good news of the divine helpers I asked from God and He sent them.
I have never known them before, I have never seen them before and I have never met them before.

God also opened new doors and windows of financial breakthrough and favours of His Infinite Grace to me.

The words of my tongue can never be enough to express how glad and grateful I am for the great and mighty awesome miracles of JEHOVAH GOD in my life and family as He has lifted me higher and higher in happiness, success and victory in Jesus Christ our Lord.
So, to God and only God alone be all the Glory, Honour and Power.
For great is His faithfulness, loving kindnesses and mercies to us.

The Muslim Woman Who Saw Jesus!

The Muslim Woman Who Saw Jesus!

Millions of people are still perishing in ignorance of the Truth of Jesus Christ, because of their unbelief and being misled by false doctrine and false religion. That is why I have to remind them of the awesome testimony of Gulshan Esther, a Muslim girl, imprisoned by her religion and severe disability, but was healed and set free by Jesus Christ HIMSELF!

You should also read the book of her unforgettable testimony The Torn Veil: The Best-Selling Story of Gulshan Esther

A true story of freedom and miraculous healing as a Muslim girl finds faith in Christ

When Gulshan Esther, a devout Muslim girl, was six months old, typhoid left her a cripple. Her loving father took her from Pakistan to England to find a cure, but the only hope the British specialist could offer was prayer. Gulshan and her father made pilgrimage to Mecca and begged Allah for healing, but it was not until her father’s untimely death that Gulshan began to receive an answer. In her grief she wanted to die, but as she called out to God, for the first time in her life she sensed she was being heard. She heard a low, gentle voice say, "I won’t let you die. I will keep you aliveÖI am Jesus, son of Mary."

As Gulshan began reading the Quran, her interest in Jesus grew, until one amazing night he appeared to her in her bedroom in a blaze of light. He restored her crippled arm and leg and taught her The Lord’s Prayer. He told her to go to his people—now her people—and tell them what he had done. Since that time, and to this day, she has been a joyous, obedient disciple of Christ. The Torn Veil is an amazing story of faith and determination.

This moving autobiography was first published in 1984 and has sold over 200,000 copies worldwide.

The Top Baby Names of 2010 Revealed

LONDON, December 31, 2010/PRNewswire/ -- Katie and Amy have fallen out of the list of the top 20 female christian names, it emerged yesterday (30th January 2010).

The monikers of troubled stars Katie Price and Amy Winehouse have been replaced by prettier and less infamous names, Maisie and Isabella.

The highest climber in the list of the most popular girls' names in the UK today is Bella, due in no small part to the lead character in Twilight, played by actress Kristen Stewart. Lacey, as in EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, is also on the up, soaring from number 57 up to 37. Florence is also becoming increasingly popular, moving up 33 places, as is Maisy.

Olivia is still top after 3 years and Sophie is still second. Lily is now third, up from 8th place, with Emily and Ruby completing the top five.

In the boys list Jack has finally been bumped off top spot by Oliver after 16 years in first place. Jack is now second while Harry, Charlie and Alfie, all non-movers, make up the top five.

Another bad year for F1 ace Lewis Hamilton has seen the popularity of his first name drop from 13th to 19th place, whilst his singer girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger fares even worse, with the name Nicole dropping seven places down the girls list to 84th place.

Ollie emerged as the biggest climber - up 56 places to number 53 - while Zachary, perhaps inspired by High School Musical's Zac Efron or even the son of jungle queen Stacey Soloman, has also become more common.

Bobby - the name of the late Jade Goody's son - is another big climber, up 25 places to number 70. And Kai - Coleen and Wayne Rooney's son has stepped up 10 places to number 56, despite his father's indiscretions.

The list was compiled by parenting club Bounty from names given to 423,000 children born in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland during 2010.

Yesterday, Faye Mingo, spokeswoman for bounty.com (http://www.bounty.com/) said: ''Our records show that parents are continuing to be influenced by popular culture and celebrity trends.

"The remarkable rise in popularity of names such as Ollie and Florence are most probably due to the X Factor star Olly Murs and the singer from Florence and the Machine experiencing their time in the limelight.

"However, parents are looking to a wide range of sources for influence and also seem to be rediscovering more traditional, 'old-fashioned' names like Ava and Stanley which have been more associated with grandparents in the past.

"Biblical names are also proving popular with Noah rising 20 places to 15th place and Jacob up 7, just missing the top ten."

Olivia is enjoying its third year in top spot after deposing Grace in 2008.

Jessica climbed one place to sixth, while Chloe dropped from fifth to seventh. Ava made it into the top ten for the first time while Grace slipped to ninth from sixth.

Amelia completed the top ten. Lucy was a non-mover at 13 while the next four places were all taken up by new names, including Isabella which climbed eight places to 14th.

Megan, Isla and Freya have all become more popular as has Lilly, most probably inspired by the singer Lily Allen.

On the boys list Jack finally surrendered top spot to Oliver but very little of the rest of the top ten changed. William climbed one spot to eighth as did Daniel to ninth while James slipped two to tenth.

Other names we will be hearing more regularly includes Logan, which climbed seven places to 17th and Oscar, which moved up four to 22nd.

Callum and Liam seem to have had their day - they were the biggest fallers in the top 30, seven and nine places respectively.

And new entries into the bounty.com top 100 lists were Esme, Courtney, Jude, Elliot and Stanley.

Faye Mingo added: "A recent study we ran found that one in five parents regret the names they have chosen for their children, so it's more important than ever for parents to choose a name them and their child will love for the rest of their life.

"It's hard to predict what we'll see next year but it's most probable that celebrities and popular culture will again play a part - and with a royal wedding on the horizon we may well see an increase in Williams and Kates born in celebration!"

Notes to Editors:

- The top 100 boys and girls names lists were compiled using data
collated from the registered births of Bounty Parenting Club members in
2010

- Bounty (http://www.bounty.com) is the UK's favourite parenting club,
providing information, support and products for young families
throughout the four key-life stages: pre-birth, birth, toddlers and
pre-school

- With 2.5 million members and over 50,000 new members joining
every month, Bounty reaches 9 out of 10 new and expectant parents in
the UK through its Bounty bag sampling

- http://www.bounty.com has 750,000 opted-in members and a further
28,000 new members joining each month
- http://www.bounty.com/baby-names features a host of unique and
handy new functions and tools to help you decide on baby names.
Whether your heart is set on a name and you want to find out more about
its origin or meaning, have absolutely no idea how to go about choosing
a name or simply want to find a name rated by others as 'cool' or
'exotic', Bounty.com is the go-to site for all your naming needs. In
just one click you can search:

- Regional mapping (search the popularity of names throughout the UK
based on where you live)

- Middle names (search for names that are most commonly used as middle
names with your chosen first name)

- Sibling names (search for common sibling names alongside your chosen
first name)

- Rate names according to how 'cool', 'great', 'traditional', 'exotic',
'unique' they are

- Find out nick-names, explore famous people names, and characters
featured in books, TV or film

- Find out who else likes the names you do and ask friends and family to
confidentially rate your favourite names

- Name trend graph showing if names are in declining/growing in
popularity

- Search using letters of the alphabet, number of syllables, origin, and
meaning

- Collate your own 'shopping basket' of preferred names
