It is really scary and worrisome that many of the Nigerians who claim to be Christians and members of both orthodox and Pentecostal churches are still rebellious to the Word of God, including the regular church goers who flock to the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) for the Holy Ghost Nights; Prayer City of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Ministries and others; still remain rebellious, malicious, contentious, adulterous and poisonous in human relations: in business and marriage.
They may even pretend to speak in tongues; clap and dance in their eye service and lip service to worship Almighty God.
Which God are they really worshipping?
Our Lord JESUS Christ said in
Matthew 15:8:
"These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me."
How can people be so evil and hypocritical and still claim to be "Christians" when their evils show that they are devils in human disguise or they are possessed by demons.
Read the following analysis of how their rebellion is tantamount to witchcraft.
Why Is Rebellion The Same As Witchcraft To God? – Daily MannaRead more on
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” – James 4:17
Ok, so we understand why God hates rebellion but why would He compare it to witchcraft? The word used here in the original Hebrew was “qecem” and can mean either witchcraft or divination. Either would apply because what God is really trying to say here is that, at it’s root, rebellion is nothing more then willfully choosing to be led of an other spirit. It’s choosing the do the will and the work of the enemy in direct opposition to that of God’s. This point is ever further clarified as it goes on to say that stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. What is stubbornness, but refusing correction and repentance, what is iniquity, but sin and wickedness, and what is idolatry, but choosing to give your service, obedience, and allegiance to an other god?
