The Word of God is the Greatest Power in the World

 Psalm 68:11

The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

 Psalm 68:11

Many people perish every day in the world
Because of their ignorance of the Word of God.

(since 2005)

I obeyed the Word of God in 1988 when I had all the money to tour the world after working as a public health illustrator for the Johns Hopkins University's Population Communication Services (JHU/PCS) to produce fully illustrated family planning methods booklets in Pidgin English, Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa distributed by the Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN)) for the entire Nigeria. I was 21 and I have signed a recording contract for the production of my songs in Hollywood with all the looks and guts to be a rock star with my starry eyes, brown skin and bushy hair and walking tall. I have already written and directed my first play, "The Prodigal" for the Education Unit of National Museum on Lagos Island and profiled in the Times International news magazine interviewed by Henry Atenaga, a friend of Ben Okri when I was only 17. At 21 featured in the highly esteemed West Africa newsmagazine for my popular Captain Santana and his flying motorcycle comics. I became a national Program Consultant for the UNICEF in Nigeria at 25. Then in 1988 I became born again from the Roman Catholic Church to the Deeper Christian Life Ministry of Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi who had sown the seed of evangelism into my life in 1978 when I spent my long school holidays attending his school holidays classes.
From 1988 I preached the good news of the gospel of our MESSIAH JESUS Christ on the streets and on public transport buses in Lagos in English, Igbo and Yoruba for over 11 years. From the street I moved on to the internet I started my online ministry, The Rhema Blog in 2005.
The Rhema Blog is very popular among visitors from over 12 countries in the world.
I share the Word of God with testimonies of the Truth.

The greatest power is the Word of God.
And the greatest power comes from the prayer in the Word of God.
I see the world through the Eyes of God.

The Greatest Power

Pray with request to Almighty God.

Request for what you need.

Don't pray to feed your greed.

You must pray with true love

Love can make a lion become a dove.

Pray and wait upon the Lord

And hold on to His Word.

The greatest power in the world

Is the power of prayer.

There is no greater power

Than the power of Almighty God.

Daily Covenant Prayer For Protection And Victory

HALLELUJAH!

I thank you our Almighty Father God JEHOVAH
For protecting and saving us from the nightmares and evil devices of bad dreams, bad thoughts and bad wishes either by us or by anyone else.

Thank you for protecting and saving us from evil dreams, evil thoughts and evil wishes either by us or by anyone else.

Thank you for protecting and saving us from negative dreams, negative thoughts and negative wishes either by us or by anyone else.

Thank you for protecting and saving us from every lie of the devil, every blasphemy and blasphemous thoughts of the enemy, Satan.
It will never come to pass in our lives, because in the mighty name of our Lord JESUS Christ, we have cancelled and we have rejected every bad dream, every bad thought and every bad wish; we have cancelled and we have rejected every evil dream, evil thought and evil wish;
We have cancelled and we have rejected every negative dream, negative thought and negative wish;
We have cancelled and we have rejected every lie of the devil, every blasphemy and blasphemous thought of the enemy, Satan.
It will never come to pass in our lives, because it is not our portion, because our portion is with you and only you alone, our one and only Almighty Father God JEHOVAH, forever and ever. AMEN. Because, you said as it is written in Psalm 91: 14 - 16:
"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."
AMEN. And you said as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11:
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
AMEN!
So shall it be fulfilled and come pass in our lives in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour JESUS Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. AMEN! HALLELUJAH!

The Only Time We Ever Have

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

1. The Only Time We Ever Have

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."1

In his sermon, "Obedience," Warren Lamb said, "I used to have problems getting my son to clean his room. I would insist that he, 'Do it now,' and he would always agree to do so, but then he wouldn't follow through—at least, not right way.

"After high school, he joined the Marine Corps, which is where he is now. When he and I were on the plane together coming home for his leave after Boot Camp, he said to me, 'My life makes sense now, Dad. Everything you said and did when I was growing up now makes sense. I really, really understand.'

"'Oh yeah, Dad,' he added. 'I learned what 'now' means.'"2

For all of us, the only time we ever have is now.

If God is urging you to make amends with a friend or loved one, do it now. If there is a job or responsibility you have been putting of, do it now. If God is calling you to accept his gift of salvation, remember NOW is the day of salvation. Be sure to do this today. For help go to: http://tinyurl.com/8glq9 to read, "How to Be Sure You're a real Christian Without Having to Be Religious"

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, thank you for your Word that reminds me that the day of salvation is now—today. Please help me to do today what is the most important thing in my life, and especially to make sure my life is right with you. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully in Jesus name, amen."

Pegs on Which to Hang Anger

Tuesday, December 4, 2007

1. Pegs on Which to Hang Anger

"Behold, You [God] desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom."1

As a general rule, loved people love people and hurt people hurt people. And angry people, besides angering other people, are constantly looking for pegs on which to hanger their anger.

I was watching a TV interview recently and the person being interviewed was obviously a very angry person with a not-too-hidden agenda. This person avoided every question the interviewer asked and continued to spew out his bitter negative comments.

This type of person, who has a negative axe to grind, sees only what he wants to see and hears only what he wants to hear. And he will twist what he hears to make it match his distorted perception of reality. Reality is not on their agenda.

It's the same with people who have a critical attitude. They're angry too and are constantly looking for pegs on which to hang their anger. They will read into situations exactly what they want to see and hear as a way to avoid facing their own reality. They live in denial—an ultimately dangerous and self-destructive way to live.

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, please deliver me from the sin of denial and help me to be courageously honest with myself and with you and see in myself any unresolved anger, a critical attitude, and/or any other personal problem I may have. And lead me to find the help I need to resolve and overcome my problems. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully in Jesus' name, amen."

1. Psalm 51:6 (NKJV).

Hold Tight

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, unto which you are called."1

I checked the following story on snopes.com but it wasn't listed, so I can't confirm it either way. At any rate it makes an excellent parable. According to the story: "On a commuter flight from Portland, Maine, to Boston in 1987, the pilot heard an unusual noise near the rear of the plane. Henry Dempsey turned the controls over to the co-pilot and went back to check it out. As he reached the tail section, the plane hit an air pocket, and Dempsey was tossed against the rear door. He quickly discovered the source of the mysterious noise. The rear door had been improperly latched prior to take-off, and it flew open. Dempsey was instantly sucked out of the tiny jet.

"The co-pilot saw the red light that indicated an open door. He radioed the nearest airport requesting permission for an emergency landing. He reported that the pilot had fallen out of the plane and wanted a helicopter to search the area. After the plane landed, the ground crew found Dempsey holding on to the outdoor ladder of the aircraft. Somehow he had caught the ladder and held on for ten minutes as the plane flew 200 mph at an altitude of 4,000 feet, and then, when landing, he kept his head from hitting the runway, which was only 12 inches away. "

In today's pressured world it is very easy to be "sucked into" all sorts of temptations—which, if we give in to them, could easily destroy us. So we need to hold on tenaciously to eternal values and the eternal life that God has given to all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Suggested prayer:

"Dear God, please give me the strength and courage to hold on to you, to my faith, and to eternal values no matter what trials and temptations may come my way. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully in Jesus' name, amen."
