Love is the Greatest A Sample Devotion from Seeking God’s Heart

Love is the Greatest
A Sample Devotion from Seeking God’s Heart

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13 [NIV]

Why is love the greatest out of three worthy contenders? It is the greatest because it is God, for He is love (1 John 4:8). The apex of God’s attributes is love. This is why you go to God first for love. He is the lover of your soul, and the love of God far exceeds earth’s limited love. This is the reason you look to Jesus as the supreme example of how to love. He says the two greatest commands hinge on love (Matthew 22:37-39). Love is God’s gold standard; it rises above other compelling character traits such as faith and hope. Love is the theme that covers your character, seasons your service for Christ, and flavors your faith. It gives off a sweet aroma through trust, and gives gusto to grace. Love adds hotness to hope, potency to patience, and spice to selflessness. It brings brilliant technicolor to life, in contrast to our otherwise bland black-and-white loveless living. You can serve, provide for your families, cook a meal, feed the poor, attend church, and even worship; but if these lack love, you lose. You lose the blessing of God and you lose heaven’s reward because your motivation was not for your Master, Jesus Christ. Love is the greatest because it aligns your heart with Almighty God and is not lacking.

Love is God’s gold standard; it rises above other compelling character traits such as faith and hope.

You are the greatest when you love because it draws attention to Jesus. Hands down, heaven is happiest over your unconditional and relentless love. So meditate on love as you rise in the morning, work during the day, and eat dinner at night with your family. Your spouse longs to be loved; this is their greatest need from you. So love them lavishly in ways they want to be loved. Think often on love, and your actions will begin to follow your thoughts. What drives you? Is it love? Make love your motivation, and your happiness will spill over on to others. Love jump-starts joy and prolongs peace; it decreases pride and increases humility. Therefore, love long and hard, love unbiased and unencumbered, love early and love late. Love the rich, the poor, and everyone in between. Love during the good times and the bad. Love the deserving and undeserving. Linger long in your love, and you will be a lasting influence for the Lord.

Lastly, great love takes on different forms. Your situation may require tough love, full of accountability and action. Or your friend may be crying out for tender love, rich in encouragement and lots of listening. Pray for God’s wisdom and discernment on how to love, then trust Him with its application. Your greatest contribution to mankind is love on behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your greatest gift to God and others is love. Because He loved you first, you can love (1 John 4:19). God is great, and He makes you great with love. You are your greatest when you get and give love.

Make love your motivation, and your happiness will spill over on to others.

Therefore, by the grace of God, seek to be a great lover. Love is the greatest in God’s eyes.

Only the Pure in Heart will See God

Good morning.

Arise and shine.

Psalm 103 verse 5 has been written and as I have spoken the verse it is fulfilled in my life.

For He renews my youth like the Eagle's.

Only the pure in 💓 heart see God.

The impure in heart will never see God.

- Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima.

If you like go to church one million times;

Sing along in chorus with the choir in your eye service and lip service!

Buy gifts for your pastor and bishop and church of whited sepulchre of your conceit and deceit;

You are a mere church goer and not a true Christian.

What makes a true Christian?

You must believe in God and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth; and you must adhere to what is written in 1 Corinthians 13.

Finis.

I am Who I am by the grace of Almighty God.

Do Christians and Churches Obey 1 Corinthians 13?

Do Christians and Churches Obey 1 Corinthians 13?

1
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Dear Brethren, We Have Forsaken Our First Love

Dear Brethren,

We have forsaken our first love as our MESSIAH JESUS Christ said that in the last days the love of many will wax cold (Matthew 24:12).

◄ Matthew 24:12 ►

"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold"

Our MESSIAH JESUS Christ called us to win souls for the Kingdom of God and make disciples of all nations. But majority of us have forsaken that to compete with the world for real estate and Forbes List  the Richest.

Where is the Good Samaritan among us?
Who will rehabilitate the destitute on street?

The following scriptures are enough for us to REPENT and RETURN to our first Love.

Timothy 3:2-4

King James Version

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Matthew 25:35-45 GNBUK

I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.’ “The righteous will then answer him, ‘When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we ever see you a stranger and welcome you in our homes, or naked and clothe you? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these members of my family, you did it for me!’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Away from me, you that are under God's curse! Away to the eternal fire which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels! I was hungry but you would not feed me, thirsty but you would not give me a drink; I was a stranger but you would not welcome me in your homes, naked but you would not clothe me; I was sick and in prison but you would not take care of me.’ “Then they will answer him, ‘When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and would not help you?’ The King will reply, ‘I tell you, whenever you refused to help one of these least important ones, you refused to help me.’

1 Corinthians 13

King James Version

13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Thanks To All Those Who Have Supported The Rhema Blog

Support The Rhema Blog

I am grateful to everyone who has  responded to support The Rhema Blog .

I have received more than N150, 000 so far and I will appreciate more contributions and donations.

A God sent friend in the Nigerian film industry sent me N120, 000 last Sunday. Others who prefer not to be identified sent their contributions.

If you cannot send money, you can send foodstuffs of beverages, plastic bottles of water and soft drinks, packs of rice, beans, noodles, pastas, etc. Sending money is the most convenient so that I can save and give money to the needy when the need comes up.

Please, note that the only qualification for grace is to believe that you can give and receive from the abundance of the infinite grace of Almighty God JEHOVAH JIREH regardless of your denominations in the body of JESUS Christ and even if you don't go to church, you will receive as the Good Samaritan helped the wounded stranger he found by roadside. Luke 10:25-37.

HALLELUJAH!
To Almighty God JEHOVAH NISSI,
JEHOVAH RAPHA, JEHOVAH JIREH
JEHOVAH EL SHADDAI, JEHOVAH EBENEZER, JEHOVAH SHALOM and JEHOVAH SHAMAH be all the glory, honour and power forever!

I started my online ministry in June 2005 when I was living on Bonny Island in the Niger Delta of Nigeria after decades of evangelism on public transport buses and on the streets of Lagos.
My ministry is called Ministry of Helps based on Charity as defined in 1 Corinthians 13 by the abundance of the infinite grace of Almighty God.

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

God Is The Master Giver

God Is The Master Giver

He is your total Source for every good thing you want to happen in your life. However, you must have the sensitivity to know when you need Him, the humility to pursue His mercy and the urgency to come boldly to Him. Many do not believe that God wants them to prosper. This is one of biggest lies of satan.

     God Wants To Reveal To You Where Your Financial Provisions Are Located. He proved this to the prophet Elijah. First, God fed him through the ravens that brought him bread and meat every morning and evening. Then, God provided a continuous supply of food through the incredible faith of the widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:16).

     God Is Concerned With Every Financial Crisis You Encounter. He will give you instructions how to turn it around. He always promises prosperity and blessing to those who are obedient to His laws and principles. You must realize that you are already prospering. Your talents...energy...friendships...ideas...blessings of every kind...are all gifts from God.

     You Are A Walking Warehouse of Seeds. Most people do not even realize this. They have no idea how many Seeds they contain that can be planted into the lives of others. Stop and inventory your own Seeds. Stop focusing on what you do not have. Something You Have Been Given Will Create Anything Else You Have Been Promised.

     Every Seed Is A Golden Door From Your Present Into Your Future. Ask The Holy Spirit to show you what you have been given, supernaturally and naturally, to plant into the lives of others. It will be one of the greatest steps of faith you will ever take in your life...faith births expectation. Expectation is the Master Secret to your Harvest.

     God Is Not Through Blessing You Today. Tomorrow is not here yet. You can still make it anything you want it to be. The key to your Future is in your hand. You already have enough to create what you do not have.

     You can write a new page in your life. You can create any Tomorrow you want. You already have in your hand everything it takes to make Tomorrow what God desires for it to be. This is one of the most powerful truths you can ever embrace in your life.

If Only They Know Who Asked for Their Helping Hand

If Only They Know Who Asked for Their Helping Hand

For I have asked them to sow a seed. And because they have not sowed the seed, they shall not partake in the harvest.

For from one acorn sown
The mighty oak tree has grown.
Before their very eyes
I have become the mighty oak tree
Where many shall come to be free
Free to pick up acorns without any fee
Then they shall see how one acorn has become the orchard of their vineyard.

John 4:10

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The Greatest Charity

"The greatest charity is not generosity.
But the charity of humility."

- Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima,
Author of "The Prophet Lied" and other books.

The greatest example of the charity of humility is our Lord and MESSIAH JESUS Christ, the Living Water of Eternal Life asking the Samaritan woman at the well for water to drink.

John 4: 10-15-
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”

13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

The Church is not the Building, The Building is not the Church

The Church is not the Building, The Building is not the Church

Building the biggest,  largest or costliest auditorium for your church means nothing to Almighty God if His Holy Spirit is absent from your building.
As my mother of blessed memory, Mrs. Gladys Unuamaighiuwa Eke repeated again and again that THE HOLY SPIRIT of God does not dwell in the house built by hands; but dwells in the house built in the hearts of the true believers of God.

It is still baffling to me that those who claim to be ministers of God who have repeatedly read the command of our MESSIAH JESUS Christ clearly gave as our mission on earth which is the Great Commission as written in Matthew 28:19-20:
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.":
Yet they are engaged in childish and foolish bragging rights to who has built the largest church building or auditorium in the world!
They are competing for the Guinness Book of World Records instead of competing for the lost and wandering souls of the confused and ignorant humans our Lord JESUS Christ commanded us to find and guide to redemption and salvation.

I ask them, how much have you spent on evangelism in the mission fields compared to how much you have spent on building your gangantic auditoriums?
How much have you spent on charity compared to your gangantic auditoriums?

What determines the size of your church is not the size of the building, but the numbers of the true believers who fellowship and worship Almighty God in Spirit and in Truth.
John 4:24:
"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

John 8:32
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

SHALOM!
